Join the Open Land Trust for a special visit to the Ernest F. Hollings ACE Basin National Wildlife Refuge!

The refuge is home to the Grove Plantation ( built in 1828…one of few not burned during Civil War) and has an amazing wildlife habitat including numerous old rice field impoundments.

Refuge staff will lead a tour of the house, share history of the plantation and lead a tour of property viewing protected habitat and wildlife.

We will meet at 9:00am for introductory briefing then a walking tour of the property – approximately a 1 mile walk.

Bring your lunch, drinks, binoculars, wear close toed shoes good for walking and dress according to the weather.  Bug spray and sunscreen are also recommended.
